Re: Heads Up - Tree work

The cable that provides our Internet service runs through that tree. strange.... Where I grew up, there's a tree on the highway north that grew up around a water pipe, such that the pipe sticks horizontally out of the tree, about a metre above the ground. There's a swift creek nearby, and t...

I don't qualify, I don't have the time, and I'd suck at it anyway anyway, but out of curiosity (and for posterity), what's the learning curve for this sort of thing? How much time does it take to gain the proficiencies for somebody who has not DMed in NWN, and for somebody who has DMed in NWN?

Just a text editor, like Notepad. Watch out though, it might save it as nwn.ini.txt instead of just nwn.ini. You might have to change the filename (in WinXP, the .ini icon is a piece of paper with 3 dots and lines, and a pencil). I don't see how NWN could run without the file though. It's what holds...

But I'm thinking, that would be a windowed full screen, so you could, like, drag it around. It would be neat to have the taskbar visible, but have full-screen NWN on a virtual desktop.

Interesting Fact: CDs are manufactured in such a way that a scratch of up to 500 microns wide (0.5 mm, or 1000 times the width of the pits that represent the CD's data) does not usually impact data quality. Even if a wider scratch is on the CD, or if the scratch goes along part of the track (which i...

In game terms, when you cast a melee touch spell you're casting it on yourself. When you hit an enemy, the spell discharges. For example, Shocking Grasp has a duration of "Until discharged" (I'm not sure if this is the case in NWN). Ranged touch attacks don't seek their target and their areas of eff...

It's actually a toss up between the house Brews at Spinnakers, a wonderful pub in a city near where I live, Alexander Keiths Nova Scotia pale ale, and Molson Canadian. There are a few other palettable kinds, but not many. Is that the one in Esquimalt? I've never been, but I've heard it's goo...
