Also, during item removal during death. My compatibility mode is now Windows 7 and I removed "Run thi...

I've had similar issues in other places, but it seemed to be linked to making NWN programming to run in administrator mode. Once I undid that all issues stopped. I'd suggest looking at your compatibility modes. Admittedly, it could be some other issue? But looks and sounds familiar.
