Avlis Underdark races
I asked this in asked the team a while ago but didn't get a response, so if anyone knows the answers (or even if there is none), please let me know!
1) What is the skin/hair coloring for Vasharan? Do they have jet black skin like most underdark races seem to, or do they maybe have really pale skin, or are they indistinguishable from normal humans?
2) Same for Karakuro. Do they look like duergar, or something else? And is there any idea of when they might become playable?
3) Sereg'Wrethrin attack humans on sight. But the Underdark lore says that "The Sereg have set up trade with the other Underdark races" (referencing the Karakuro and Vasharan). Does the Sereg urge to kill humans extend to Vasharan, or do they have relatively peaceful Underdark trade agreements with them?

I can answer a few of these things but not all...
All Vasharans have black hair. Jet black hair. In fact it doesn't matter what you make your characters hair.. when you are recreated you automatically have black hair.
Vasharans aren't really humans anymore... they have been mixed with demons and have been inbred with the T'anarri. So I would give you a bit of demonesc type look.. perhaps use the tiefling model, or some other deformed type model. I would suggest pale skin.. but I could be wrong. It is mentioned that they have not seen the sun in a long time. Therefore I would think they would have pale skin. I haven't gotten official word on that though. (Orl's word)
Vasharans are so removed from normal humans and have been mixed with demonic blood, Sereg would most likely not hate them. They aren't even human anymore. As well, the Sereg view Humans as virulant because of their wastefulness and excessive breeding habits. Thus, with gestation periods much longer with Demons as well as not having as much of a need to procreate (longer life I would imagine) I doubt the Sereg would even consider the Vasharans as an enemy.
That's my professional opinion

I did some research and discovered that Vasharans are from the 3E Book of Vile Darkness. Their background story is completely different (has to do with being the original failed human race) and they live in the nation of Vashar (hence the name). Also, they are indistinguishable from normal humans (there is no mention of demon inbreeding), and they generally have fair skin and black hair.
However, Vian, I like your description of them much more, and would prefer that the team goes with that. Personally, I think the horned head should be reserved for actual tieflings but I think it would be cool for some Vasharans to have minor demonic deformations.
Most things in the Book of Vile Darkness history and outlook of Vasharan are contradicted by their description in the Underdark threads, so it's hard to reconcile the two except that they're evil humans with black hair. I'm going to write up a short history for a pseudo-deity demon lord as Orleron requested for Underdark clerics, and if the team is interested and doesn't have much info in the works, I'd be willing to write some short descriptions of the Avlis version of the Vasharan as I imagine them to be, as a starting point for an official post.

This is a quote from Orleron:

That is from one of the posts about the history of Avlis. So Orl's Vasharans and 3e vasharans are differentOrleron wrote: As Kimonictinus' might increased, so did his ambitions. The first group to fall victim to his cruel onslaught were an
ancient group of dwarves living in Southern Galdos, just beyond the borders of what was becoming the nation of T'Nanshi.
The sheer volume of the attack coming from the amassed group of human, dwarf, and demon contingents quickly overwhelmed the unsuspecting galdokin, crushing them to dust. The momentum of that charge left Kimonicticus with most of southern Galdos under his control before the dwarven nation could mount a coherent response. Only the brave actions of a very young dwarven hero named Fegall stopped them in their tracks on that front. Nevertheless, the effectiveness of the Ta'Nari's advance was great, for he used this battle as a diversion for his second onslaught against the rapidly coalescing tribes of humans in the south. The evil human followers of Kimonicticus were very different from their surface counterparts by now. They had not lived under the sun in generations, and there were occasional incidents of inbreeding with the Ta'Nari along the way. These humans, who called themsevles the Vasharans, were more cruel and less compassionate than their Romini ancestors. When they attacked the humans in the southlands, a great confusion erupted around the battle, which the Vasharans capitalized on to slaughter many of them and secured many areas of the future nation of M'Chek.

Yes, they are a little different from the 3E description, but the species name was kept so people could get the idea of what they are in terms of mechanics of the game. Largely they do have the white skin and black hair, but there is a higher incidence of inbreeding with demons. So you can play the whole range of normal indistinguishable human to almost tiefling-like.
