Regular Euro-friendly playtime for lowbie group

PostAuthor: Merago Jert » Tue Aug 02, 2011 8:28 am

OK, following on from the "where'd everybody go?" thread, I'm hoping to start a regular, weekly meetup for lowish level characters (although everyone is welcome, regardless of level). For my part, I can make Monday evenings from 8:30-9 (GMT+1) for a few hours. Is tlhis something other folks can make?

I could be up for this. I have a new alt I have plans for, assuming she'd fit with the party.

Alternatively I have an idea for a different alt who'd fit with _any_ party.

Maybe. I was thinking of rolling a Paladin, of all things.

That could work with my new alt, I'm wanting to become a Champion.

If you're talking lowbie being 6th level and above then please count me in! It's great getting a group together and trawling through a small dungeon then having a few beers at the local inn or tavern and regaling your exploits in overblown terms!

Actually, I was thinking levels 1-6 (the character I'm planning on bringing is a fresh faced level 1 cleric of Senath), but as I said, anyone is welcome - the main goal is to encourage a regular session when there will actually be other folks logged in.

I'd be up for it with any or my alts. I've got a level 4 cleric of Mikon that would fit the bill. However, it all depends on if I can get the time to play that early what with getting kids to bed, eating food with my wife, etc.

I may be able to attend with my little abjurer wannabe or something fresh out of the box. Monday morning sounds good, but I'm rather flexible when I get to know the exact time in advance.

Levels 1-6 are even better as I've just rolled up a fresh PC today.

Ok, decided I'm playing a Dwarf Barbarian* for this. Lets go fins a whole bunch of mischeif.

(*So now we have a cleric and a barbarian, would be really nice if we could get a nice balanced party)

I might try to find an alt suitable for this, or I might even DM it. I'll give it some thought

A little early for me for me too, for the same reasons, and won't be around for a couple of weeks, but otherwise sounds like a great idea. Probably need a whole new alt...

Great! Sounds like we've almost got ourselves a party. The more the merrier though, so if anyone else is interested, just holler. Also, for those who feel the start time might be slightly early for them - I'm sure it won't be a major problem to tag along later - how often do dungeon crawls and the like kick off as soon as everyone meets up? More than likely there'll be a half hour or so of hanging around somewhere discussing something or other before anything happens!

Just to clarify timings (and cos it gives me PC+1), these planned events will be Monday evenings at 1930 GMT start?

Might I suggest meeting at the Rock in Mikona, if only for nostalgia's sake?

That's right, 1930 GMT (or 2030 UK time).

The Rock sounds as good as any other place, if everyone is happy with that, we'll go with that. I have an alternative suggestion to pur forward too though - how about Kero's? I could never understand why anyone would hang around an uncomfortable and otherwise unremarkable chunk of stone when there's a perfectly comfortable bar just a short walk away. :)

Yep, but before Kero's there was the City Gate Inn ;), (which, if you really wanted to be nostalgic, was where most adventures started waaaay back before we had persistent locations). Oh, I know it makes sense OOC to hang around there as it's the place that probably sees the most traffic on the Mikona server, hell I've done it myself often enough, but I always felt dirty doing it.

you dirty boy

An other reason is that's easier for a DM to start an event outside then inside the city gates.
