Magic Bags and Disguise

PostAuthor: Isadora » Sat Jun 22, 2013 6:24 pm

Both under the Disguise rules and checking someone's corpse, can magic bags be used to identify someone, especially if they've been edited and renamed or "labelled" (is the label an OOC or IC thing?)?

I.E The floaty name of the horribly mutilated body is Bob. You check the corpse and see the specially labelled bags (even some bags have special descriptions from DMs) and, considering our characters constantly open these bags all the time in front of others, CAN you say "Oh, this is my friend Bob." ?

The labels should be treated ooc, and the description of the bag is not enough to ID.

Edit: Just to add, for the purposes of finding someone's things and wanting to return them, that can fall under good/allowed metagaming.
