The World of Avlis

After having a year's worth of amazing fun here, Tulip's player wrote:
A right-sized ode to Avlis

Come one, come all, come see and know
A story, which started a long time ago
When barely an adult, a roleplaying fan —
A teen no more, but still barely man —
Was seeking some RP, and 'Netjamming went.
He found ye olde Avlis. His gnome, he sent.

A lover of Fegall, he tried one gnome more.
A lover of modrons, her story so told...
Yet, Elysian lizardmen took far her gaze
From planes, from Sigil, from the Lady's long maze.
Of evil and power, I learned how to play,
A robotic psion, and went a great way.

Still small to the core, a kobold came out,
From Salt Caves — outsider!—, he'd often shout.
A shifting, conniving, bird-lover's tale,
Span out from a "joke alt"... the jokes never failed.
Inspired by Keekee, Rhiss and all lizards,
Preek stuck to his kind; fie with all wizards!

Then, many years later, a new blossom looms:
A fey-winged tulip shoots out and so blooms.
Friends old and afar show her the new light,
Even enemies wait to give her a fright:
With gnomerly memories and many more so,
She skips off to Avlis; she's ready to go!
