As we drive into the departures area of Stansted airport, we check swoodsys conformation, he was meant to fly yesterday, the dork.
So I have been up for nearly a day, to take him to a flight he was meant to get 23 hours ago.
I really feel for the bastard, as he just text me saying his flight will cost £165 and he's not prepared to do that, and I cant go back and pick him up cos the filler cap on my car is stuck so I cant get petrol

(That sounds like a cop out but its not, the airport is only 10 mins from my house, even I'm not that lazy)
Stu I hope you read this from the confines of your nice warm house, it sucks you missed your holiday, but at least you have time off work...
Anyway maybe everyone could give him a bit of support, he's a good DM and a nice bloke, heres to you bud

*swoods finally gets home, exhausted and extremely annoyed at himself for being a complete idiot... After five minutes of some pretty colourful language infront of the mirror, he calms down and sees this thread, which, although it shouldn't, actually brings a half baked smirk to his previously thunder like expression...*
Greg, thank you for being about to drop me off, I wasn't going to make you come back and get me, I really appreciate you taking me there in the first place.
Trigger, if you read this, thanks for the beers and film watching last night that enabled me to attempt a non-existent flight itinary at 04:45 this morning!
*Sighs* To those I was supposed to be attempting to meet up with, sorry guys, err, what can I say...
For those of you who posted your condolences, thanks, I feel a right "berk" as you can imagine...
I'm now off to get some rest before spending my holiday money in the local hostelry...

It won't make you feel any better but I went to a friends wedding a couple of months back and another friend had bought train tickets from Cambridge to Sunderland for himself, his partner and another couple for the wrong day.
That cost him £300 to put right.

oooh.. no! So sorry to hear this!
That's a bummer!
Upside is, though, that you get a few days off work and at home to relax and do what you wanna do, when you wanna do it! - or to NOT do anything and decide when you do it.

If you're on the right route, like between the Chunnel and Manchester, hope we can come over this summer and make up for it though.

Stu man I shouldn't laugh I know it but I can't help myself. I think I just took some evil points for laughing too. Anyways, I hope you've got everything settled. I just have to say it's probably the gods punishment on you for spelling your name wrong.

Don't feel bad, S., I showed up at the wrong airport once. Led to a rather embarassing exchange at the check-in counter...
