I don't know how many of you will remember me but I've been lurking around for quite a while. For those of you that do know me, long time no see, I hope you are all doing well. That being said ... on to business ...

So, my cat has gotten sick. She has gotten some sort of major blockage in her lower bowels and the vet said that we might have to do surgery to find it and get it out. This will put me and the skirt in more debt than we already are in. As such we decided that having a little extra cash on hand would be nice. The Skirt mentioned that maybe I could do some art commisions on the side. I thought that was a great idea. So ...

Would you like to see your NWN or other RPG character fully illustrated by me? I'm officially whoring out my mad art skills in order to get some extra cash flow.

So what is it I'm offering? Well, quite simply, I will draw a character for you. This can be You as a medieval (or other) persona, a character of yours from a RPG, your online persona or just whatever you want me to draw so long as it isn't a licensed, copyrighted or trademarked character. I can do tattoo designs as well.

What you get?
I will personally draw, using old fashioned pen and ink techniques, whatever you want me to draw. The original will be no larger than 8X10 and I will then scan it into the computer and clean it up with photoshop if needed and save it into three versions (1 hi-res bmp (great for printing), 1 mid-res jpg (great for showing off online), and 1 low-res jpg (great for loading into your RvB or MySpace pictures)). For no extra fee I will make a small 80x80 jpg of the picture for use as an avatar. I will bundle this into a zip or rar file and email it directly to you. For an extra fee I can snail mail you the original.

What I get?
Black and White line drawings will be $20US, Colored (using high quality markers and watercolors) drawings will be $30US. Mailing the original will cost an additional $20US (this covers the mailing fees and my relinquishing all usage rights of the drawing to you). Unless I send you the original I retain the use of the picture solely for showing off what I do in order to get more business.

How will you pay?
I will send you an email via PayPal that allows you to pay either with PayPal or with a credit card. If you don't have PayPal or a credit card I will provide you a snail mail address where you can send a check. Once I get payment I will begin work on your piece and deliver it within 2 weeks.

Poor lil kitty set me back about $400 initially and we're still monitering her to see if she needs full surgery (it would be exploritory to find the blockage and remove it). I don't NEED to sell any portraits but any purchases would help offset the cost. Of course, this project also helps keep me in practice (i'ven ot had a good excuse to draw in a while) and, of course, gives people an oppurtunity to have their favorite PCs rendered.

Not much of a secret ... its pretty much what everyone who knows how to draw tells you to do when you want to learn how to draw and its pretty much what everyone who wants to learn how to draw hates to hear ...

1) Practice.
2) Practice.
3) Location ... just kidding ... Practice.

Sure, I'm always willing to concider taking art commisions. SO if it takes a while before you can afford one just send me an email when you can.

Just to let everyone know. The cat has made it through, she didn't need surgery after all but we are still monitoring her because there has been no "concrete evidence" that the blockage has passed. (Yes, that means what it sounds like it means.)
