Just curious if any of you toolset wizards out there know how this can be done? Appricate any help you can give!

the Rakshasa model is static, period. So unless you're enough of a modeler to remake it as a new dynamic model, then the best you can do is use a dynamic human model with an animal mask and a fake tail (which should be fine if its an NPC)

There is a 'hat' that looks exactly like the Rakshasa head. Dye it your favorite Rakshasa fur color. Then set their appearance to human, give them the hat, and give them any outfit, although I'd suggest one that doesn't show any skin since it won't show fur. (Setting the skin color to match your kitty hat helps a bit though)

Tada, dynamic rakshasa.

If this is for Avlis, then you should not do this:

1. Because you are not a Rakshasa. No matter what race your character is, wearing a tiger mask and calling yourself a Rakshasa would be cheesing. Even if you are a Changeling, you'd have to be in a Rakshasa form to convincingly make that claim.

2. The disguise masks have been deemed not an appropriate disguise method. IG, if you did this other characters should laugh at your feeble attempts at disguise, wearing something that clearly looks like a helmet or mask. You'd probably get a few tells about cheesing also.

:(

If it's for some other project then, Rhissaerk Jalesh is correct. That would be the easiest way.

:D

No wasnt going to try and do this on Avlis. Was creating a new race on another project that differ from Rakshasa as there two bloodly powerfull to be a pc race.

Don't tell my Rakshasa NPC's that then CPU. Cause that's how I make them wear clothes on Avlis...*tease*

Suspension of Disbelief.

I can either pretend to not know someone is wearing a Tiger helmet since I do know she is a changeling and has that as one of the forms she can shift into.

Or I can pretend I can see the " * is wearing purple dress * " with her needing to break into the conversation every so often with that message.

Personally I find the WYSIWYG easier, she is wearing a purple dress and has the "head" on so she is supposed to be Rakasha at the moment. It seems not so much "cheesing" as an attempt to get around the limited nature of the graphics (seems the same in principle to me as emotes, we pretend our characters are changing expression).

But I don't actually care that much. I care enough to give my opinion as to why I disagree, but if the team opinion is different then so be it. Option two is useable.

depending on exactly what you want. If all you need is a feline head on a humanoid body, and don't mind something bigger than a human. then the CEP does let you put wemic heads on a half-orc body

talking bout me behind my back huh

<.<

>.>

lol, that acctually started when i was hanging around the orc Grag, rest his pixalated soul, im sure anyone who knew him, heard at least once

*is wearing a Cha'reth holy robe*

it was an accepted (and still is to most) way to show what a dynamic modle really was wearing. This was before people began using the dynamic hak, and alot still dont use the dynamic hak cause the issue with the females of the races effected. At one point was under the same ruling as..

*speaks in a disguised voice* "zip-a-dee-doo-da"

which people do constantly as well. I've not seen the ruling in awhile though so it may have been changed?

To even me though the constant *is wearing....* gets to be a bit spammish and i know if it annoys me that others arnt too happy either about it.

Thats why I use a combination of the emote and the human/mask combo as well as constantly shifting my changlings form between the rak and masked human. and i have also changed into a human when i was already one and put on the mask mid changlingdance, so people can see im "changing" even if its not visable modle wise. (i do this in any stotic form, not just rakasha, just the rakasha hass the added "prop" of the mask)

I understand its slight cheesing but it also the only way people can see just what type/color cloths and armor, as well as how they move and its easier for people around her to RP the cloths, aka Winter chewing on Coran's cape or Gaklah grinning like a fool when Coran shows him how she looks in the newest outfit he buys her.

Coran is openly changling anyway, she accepts herself and lets it be known so people can either accept it as well or not. (far less choatic then her kin that hide their selfs and live multiple lives, robbing houses under one form, etc). She is more then happy to sit down and answer any questions she can about her race, though gives fair warning even she is clueless. The fact she lives partilly as a rakasha is just the way her personality meshed as she evolved and grew. Most she meets understand her and she lets it be known as well that shes not a real rakasha, thats gone a little ways towards her acceptance by some. She spent most her earlier life as an animal (wolf or cat) so she is most comfortable as an animal, but couldnt communicate well with other people that way, when she learned the rakasha it was an answer to many of her worries, but brought her more troubles that she deals with. but in my opinion thats what RP is about i belive, even oldstyle pen and paper D&D need a constant antagonist or peral to overcome. Some may agree some disagree, thats why its an opinion not a rule :P

I'd beg to differ.

Every image ever prodused of a Rakshasa in an SRD or Reference book has had one.
