Hello, I read about the whole thing about making notes and letters and how you have to use a quill on some ink to write on the paper. I'm just wondering why when I bought my quill, it wouldn't work. It doesn't have a use function or anything. Could someone please tell me how it all works?

never done it before but im guessing it works like the fishing system. Does the ink have a use function?

Where did you buy the quill?

I bought a blank paper, a quill, an ink jar, and an inkwell and none of them have use functions. I bought all of it from an npc dwarf named Negnar at the market in Elysia.

I would have to say that you probably have not purchased your materials from an authorized supplier.

Well then where do I get the materials I need?

Using the indulgance on a note will copy the note into an energy form that the gods and goddesses of this world may take notice of.
Does this actually send the note to a database that the dms can read or perhaps to the dm channel?

Where to find them is something to find out in game... but ask some smart-looking characters and I'm sure they'll be able to tell you where to find the right stuff.

You seem to have happened across a merchant that sells items that look like they can be used but aren't actually part of the avlis notes system. I think they're still there from a time looong before the notes system was implemented, in case someone wanted to RP carrying a pen and paper around.

If you see Willem Lightheart in game, send me a tell so we can meet and you can ask him. He will be glad to show you a place, but this is all FOIG stuff.
