The World of Avlis

i was wondering if there's any way to get this spell? I know wizards/sorcerers can cast it. But they cannot chose the spell on lvl up.

In other words would i go from lvl 14 to lvl 15 i cannot chose the spell Evil Blight. Even though it is a 6th circle spell i can already cast 7th lvl spells.

This is also happening in the single player etc. as i tried to chose it in a training mod. Again i was unable to chose the spell, yet i know the spell exists as i could buy it as a scroll in my training mod (which simply has every spell there is available for buying).

so my question is: Does this spell exists in Avlis, and if so how can i get it? As no NPC merchant as far as i've seen sells 6th lvl spells adn PC merchants cannot get it as they cannot buy it or scribe it.

the reason i ask is since the spell would be perfect for Tall, since Evil Blight is just a Bestow Curse spell only then as an AoE spell. So i would love to get the spell, but i cannot.

Evil Blight is a NPC only spell, it cannot be cast by PCs. Other spells like Tide of Battle or Greater Bull's Strength fall into this category as well.

I have a scroll of that spell that I obtained offworld. I figured I couldn't scribe it into my spellbook, and I haven't tried using the scroll.

Scrolls can be used just fine, there are even scrolls for Evil Blight and Tide of Battle in the standard palette. However, they can't be learnt by characters.

The question, of course, remains: Why?

That's best asked to Bioware, though.

ehm .. this is pretty strange as in my training mod i could learn in .... anyway will test tomorrow moring as it's late but ... all rather strange

ok, tested it .... didn't work. So ignore me ..... i don't know how i thought i learned it last time but ... apparantly i didn't as this time i was not able too.
