Just curious to hear whether other peoples' productivity at work has been affected by the "Avlis Addiction".
AA may have taken on a new meaning for me.

While at work, approximately 0% of my time is spent on Avlis. A lot of that has to do with the boards now being blocked. A lot of it also has to do with being v. busy.
On Tuesdays (WFH day) I spend a bit more than 0% of my time on Avlis, but the company still more than gets their money's worth from me.

I keep a notice on the boards throughout the day always trying to stay one step ahead...its lost cause I know but I try.

I check the boards a few times throughout the day, sometimes a little more. But I'm usually on IRC the whole day too. . .
I still get a pretty good amount of work done in a day, but the days I dont check the boards, etc. I tend to get A LOT of stuff done. . . go figure.

I check the boards WAY too often. Sometimes I wish they were blocked at work...too much temptation!

sadly about 50-50 although the avlis forum time also includes the copap and arkaz forums

My work HAS blocked the avlis.org address.
However there is another way.
http://fabfic.avlis.org works for me.
So... most of the time I have the boards minimised in the bottom of my window and when my boss isn't around have a sneak peek

I had the same problem as Szabot. Now I try to keep it to breaks, or a quick check just after lunch. Unfortunately those checks drag out to 20 minutes or more.

I browse the Forum during my Lunch break, but that is it. IRC is blocked out and I would get into trouble if I tried browsing during work time. Even worse, they might block the site in the Firewall (actually BorderManager rules), which would be far worse.
Unfortunately, I have to accept that it is a Game and work is the reason they pay me.
Of course, thinking about Avlis is a completely different matter

I usually check the boards on my coffee break and during my lunch break.
If there's something one of my char's is heavily invovled in i may check more.

I wish they'd blocked them sooner.
When you come home to 500+ new posts every day, you suddenly lose the urge to read them all. Best thing that ever happened for my board enjoyment.

I'm "working" right now...seriously I stopped using IRC because I found I spent too much time reading what everyone was saying and not working enough. I usually check the boards once a day while at work, during lunch typically. Although I do mull over things I could do with my characters while I work.
Also one of the joys about being on a linux box at a computer challenged work place, they're not sure how to monitor me...it's kind of nice.

Zero. I have never visited the avlis website from work. First, it's all logged and there are some people who have access to those logs who are a little touchy about such things. Second, focusing only on work for 8.5 hours makes me very comfortable about standing up and leaving after those 8.5 hours are over.

I like to keep an eye on the forums while at work - it depends on how busy I am as to how much time I spend. But I read the forums at work so I have more time for playing on Avlis when I'm at home.

Ditto.
Definitely not having internet for 3 months showed, I can work pretty efficiently, when Avlis board is not accessible
