I doubt someone has duped it, lloydy.

It happens to me very often without any reason and after some time it just comes back to the normal state.

Wait a bit more...?

Sometimes the only way I can get it to break the "in use" is to power completely down, login to a different NWN server, logout. Wait ten minutes and try Avlis.

A friend told me once he thought some of his problems with this were when he was playing and logged into the nwn.bioware boards at the same time. *shrugs*

Oh, try using direct connect to get to Avlis and avoid the Gamespy issues.

I used to have this problem a lot. Connecting via a desktop shortcut stopped it.

Either from Gnomish Log Rotator, or create a shortcut to NWN, open up its Properties

In the command (or Target) line, insert this command :

'C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\nwmain.exe +connect <server address> +password <password>'

Replacing the bits in <>s with the relevant ones.

That won't help. It happens to me all the time too, lloydy. With or without shortcuts, etc.

It's probably because you play a wimpy n00b.

*runs off to a certain online auction website to sell lloydy's cd key*

muhahaha

Actually this happens a lot to me too and im too lazy to make all those shortcuts for direct connect. I just make sure to wait the full 5 min or longer otherwise it seems to reset the 5 min counter.

All you have to do is refresh your IP if you have a dynamic address (one that changes each time you enter the internet).

Happens to me too, but I fix the problem in 5 seconds flat.
