I tried to use the portal from Elysia Avlis to Tairisnadur and no go. It said chr not allowed and It wanted me to make another chr.So I thought bugger that and logged. Anyone else had this drama

Actually, you should put a bug report in on the Taris site, so they know somethign is wrong.

This might not actually be a race issue. I have the same issue with a wemic, but another wemic alt can get there without a problem. I posted a bug report over there, but they couldnt do anything about it.

I think it's an issue with Autobic, yeah. Touch and go, really. Nob mentioned somethign about the Enforce Legal Character setting being set on by accident.

Try sending a PM to Thmicles and politely asking ((i.e. Not using the words 'bugger' and 'drama'. )) is they are having issues with ELC and Autobic.

When things don't work, it's not because someone is persecuting you. It's just that things don't work.

Please make a polite Bug Report on the Tairis'nadur site explaining the problem.

A polite PM to Themicles - on the Tairis'nadur Forum would probably not do any harm as well.

This might be an issue at the Tairis end or it might be at this end. However, it is worth asking Themicles first.

Btw. has the password of Tairis'nadur been changed?

The trans to Tairis has always been tempermantal. Ive gone through cleanly at times and other times cant get through at all. Just chill for a little and try again later. Most likely it should work. Believe in good juju!

I was there afew days ago and it worked.

Password was the same as a year ago.

BioWare's Enforce Legal Characters is NOT on over at Tairis.

The custom, and properly configured Enforce Legal Characters IS running on Tairis.

The bug report on Tairis has a request for information clarification. You said that it asked you to create a new character. Do you mean that there was no character when you logged in? If so, there was an issue with the character file not being sent to Tairis properly (which is extremely rare).

I have confirmed that the portal from Elysia to Tairis is failing to send the character file *at all*. I have put up boulders in front of the entrance to the Tairis portal, and locked the door. This will only last until Elysia resets, though.

Please do not try to circumvent this block with any spells, psion powers, or in any other manner. The nature of the problem is as such that you would end up permenantly dominated on both Avlis and Tairis if you insist on trying to use the portal. The server hopping code relies on information transferred on the character, and if the character isn't transferring, that information isn't getting sent.

I cannot fix this issue, or even begin to trace the origin of the problem, until I get a hold of an Avlis module coordinator. Please be patient.

Portal fixed. It'd be best to log into Elysia if you experienced this portal failure before the fix. If you did not, do not server hop or the code will put you under the Domination spell and kick you.
