The World of Avlis

(I hope this is the right place to post not necessarily Avlis-related technical questions)

Hello all!

I just reinstalled NWN and the two expansions on my new computer so that I could make my return to Avlis. I’ve patched to version 1.66 and also downloaded and installed every hak and file in the Avlis website downloads area.

I’m hoping for some advice on other graphical haks you all might suggest to further enhance my gaming experience here. For example, I didn’t like the new running animation so went and found the old running animations to put in my overrides folder. That sort of stuff that won’t botch up anything with Avlis itself.

Also, I seem to be missing several head models from my game now for some reason. I know of at least two that I’m missing because my main character’s head was different when I logged back in after so long away, and when I went to try and make a new character to see which one the old one was, I couldn’t find the new head in the selection either! Heh.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might be going wrong and how I can go about fixing it?

Did I post this in the wrong category? I did try and make a new single player game to see if the heads were missing and they were.

I'm really at a loss for why this is happening. The heads were available just fine when I played Avlis before with the same expansions installed. Outside of the running animation hack, I never used any mods beyond what was required for Avlis and CoPaP once it got started.

Does anyone have any ideas at all about what I might have done to remove these head models?

(I'm pretty sure the missing head model I originally used for Nanna came with the game - it was a female head that had medium length hair that allowed for choosing two colors for it, one for the main hair and one for a long bangs part)

Clean your override folder, if that doesn't work, reinstall NWN. If that doesn't work, I guess things just changed. I never play females, so I don't know if anything did change.

I remember a few of the heads changing awhile back... just take that with a grain of salt... think it happened about the time 1.66 patch came in. As long as you can see a head I woundn't worry about it.

I seem to remember reading that reverting back to the old animations messes up the female heads. viewtopic.php?p=621365#621365
