Im curious to know a few thingsa about staves. Since im a fighter and never played a mage or used a stave. I recently found one that would help me out as a fighter. So i would like to know a few things.

1. Can you recharge staves

2. CAn you use the staves abilites with out having to equiped it. Like having it in a quick slot instead.

1. not sure, but it never hurts to ask around IG.

2. no. you have to have the item equipped to use any of it's special abilities/spells. You can have the item quickslotted to equip and then use the item's power quickly though. I do this ritualistically with items like my ring of invisibility.

2. You can't use the abilities of anything without having it equipped (with the obvious exception of items that can't be equipped).

Can you cast stave powers on weapons in your inventory and have the spell work on that weapon so that it has that power when you equip it?

hhm forget that i see its a stave that you only need one hand to use. Thus i can have my weapon in one hand and the stave in the other.

Is thier any chance that staves will be rechargable in the near future?

you can use a spell or items ability on an unequipped weapon/armor i think. I could be wrong, but i am pretty sure this can be done. try it and see what happens

Yep, I sometime use GMW and MV on a weapon or shield respectively in my inventory.

Also, since this is about a staff and you mention that your character is a fighter, take into account that you'll need to pass a UMD check (or Spellcraft if applies) of DC 20 + spell level.
