FPS

Does anyone know if it is possible to get the FPS to display permently on the screen while playing?
I tried "~FPS" but it only displays it for a few seconds

It's ~ trace fps
And it gets bloody annoying after a while, as you have to restart your client to be rid of it.

get the FRAPS program.
it has a hotkey to display the FPS, and you can toggle it to each corner of the screen. even turn it off when it gets annoying

Yeah, FRAPS is great and easy for this sort of thing.
I normally get 70-40 Fps. Walk into the Mikona front gate at nightime and gets down to about 20. 1024*768 with everything on and 4*AA. No filtering though, seems to make the textures look crap on the ground.
2100+ XP
6600GT 128M ram
768M system ram
Sheesh, time for an upgrade soon I think. Trying to play Battlefield 2 with decent vid settings makes my machine squeal.

my computer will barely run battlefield 2.
1700+
FX5500 256MB ram
1GB system RAM
I definitely need an upgrade. but i generally get 20-50 FPS @ 1024*768 with most of the settings turned on. no filtering for the same reasons that sickocrow gave

just checked - and varied between about 50 - 75 fps at 1280 x 1024 with everything turned up to the maximum.
NWN is a bit old to take advantage of the newer video cards though
