Just wanted to be polite and introduce myself to the forum. My name is Chris. I'm currently downloading the CEP for the 4th time (dont ask why) and grabbing all those lil hak pak files. I did not see the installer download link, I just grabbed them seperately. Anyways, this is going to be my first real nwn roleplaying server. I played DnD once with friends, but I was so shy roleplaying was out the window. This kind of environment should make it alot easier. I've even got a a notebook to help me create flavor text for my new character. All other nwn pw servers are all about the l00ts and what not. I think this mature serious environment sounds amazaing, especially with the use of CoPaP. Well I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm real excited to be playing on the server and I look forward to meeting everyone. I dont know what my characters name is just yet. See ya around!

Fifty, I must have not read something somewhere. I have reinstalled everysingle hak pak manually twice now. I'm in the process of downloading the CEP for my 3rd time. I of course fully updated when I installed NWN recently. I read all the FAQ's and Newbie guides. Let me get this clear, you have to revert back to 1.65 for the Avlis servers to work? Pretty funny, I was just coming here to ask why the heck I could not connect. LMAO....how do I revert?

Do a search on the bioware boards for a revert patch. YOu need to be running v1.65.

In fact, do a search here under revert AND patch. That will lead you to a thread with the link.

Doesn't take long to revert. If you prefer to have v1.66 and you have space on your HD, you can make a copy of your entire NWN directory and only revert one. (Or there may be an easier way)

I made my chracter, Solaris Silverleaf the Elf Wizard @ Elysia. So far I only got to check out the first 2 inn/bars. Awesome content so far. See you guys in game.

Anyone know exactly how to make another NWN 1.66 so I can play on the more updated servers as well? My girlfriends brother just recently started a character on a Neversummer mod (so did I) no role-playing on that server but the gear they made is super powerful and fun to play with. I dont have the HD space but I am willing to make some room if I can have both versions running @ the same time. Plz share if any knows how. Thanks alot guys. I've never seen so many people respond so fast to a hello post on a forum before. LOL very friendly.

Yes, between breathing and avlis you'll barely have time for anything else...so kiss your good night's rest goodbye for one, your normal everyday life for second (for references read "You know you're addicted to Avlis when:") and just about everything not related to Avlis...

I think it is the Solaris part. I have a feeling maybe there was another character with that name once. Not that that means you should not use it. I myself have a character actually ICly named after another PC, and more of the same lined up for the future.
