So, we've been hearing about futuristic twists to NWN for a while now, but nothing has ever been made into a reality. That is about to change.

ShadowrunnerNights, a new twist to NWN, looks to be on the horizon! What do you think? Vote and post your comments.

So would I. I've always been a big fan of the Shadowrun/Cyberpunk genre.

I have probably played more Shadowrun PnP than D&D PnP actually.

Goddamn that was fun.

I've played a bit of shadowrun, but the DM was a little loose on the rules heh. it will be fun to check it out in a game. but I still think it has a good while til its release date, im sure.

As long as they have better clothing... the ones we can have on Avlis (and on the original neverwinter) can get really frustrating to modify :( It's like they all wear plastic/metal plates and dye them with a large brush.

I'll stick to Avlis, definately.

I had the Britain campaign book and ran a cool English campaign. Set my PCs up against cyberknights. Ghouls from Taunton too :) Sweet :)

Oohh, I'd definately try it out. I played Shadowrun PnP and it was a blast, the only other PnP game I really enjoyed other than D&D. I've been waiting quite awhile to see something like this come out, I'm surprised it's taken this long as the idea behind the game universe was excellent and extremely fun.

I always had mixed feelings about Shadowfun. The ideas and the setting definitely intrigue me. I liked that very much. But the actual adventures, and the people I met that played Shadowrun turned me off immensely:

All big guns, explosions, and, well... cheese.

Shadowrun should be gritty and nasty. Round here, it isn't really.

This did look pretty cool until it messed with my entire NWN directory and Avlis, some of the models in game were screwy and the worse part was the character sheet was unreadable etc. The only way I managed to fix it so I could play avlis again was to uninstall the shadow runner nights completely, which is a shame because it did look really good.

I'd probably try it. I remember almost loosing a thumb from playing shadowrun on the ninitendo too much. Guns and magic, fun stuff.
Hopefully there isn't a big rush to get the game out to the public, thus designers skip a lot of shit a la KotOR2

I also remember the Shadowrun game on the Super NES. Great fun. I've played in one PnP campaign of it, too.
Probably check it out, just to see it.

look intriguing. If it gives you the tools you might be able to use it for any number of sci-fi settings.

Never liked Shadowrun much either, was a much bigger fan of the Cyberpunk RPG. The magic aspect of Shadowrun just made things silly, especially because Magic dominated technonogly in every game I played. Cyberpunk had a much better backstory, more detail and a gritty, deadly combat system. I'll probably try this Shadowrunner nights, but im not holding my breath.

Here too!, I was the DM most of the times and I had everything on my laptop, from character sheets to dice roller to sound samples.
That was reallly really fun just to put your laptop on table, wear your black sunglasses and say... "Hello, I am mister Johnson."

I also made and redesigned the game to have it compatible with the Matrix movie and style. No magic, personall and group Bullet time, more specific merits and flaws. The instant training was replaced by a temperal boost, Special skills and technics. Being as powerfull as Neo was right out, but killing an Agent was duable when they worked as a team.
It really really rocked! My whole group was very impressed and had alot of fun playing it, even the magic powergamer in the group.

but still, having Shadowrun into a D20 system is enough for me to put my hands off.
