Reinstalling NWN

With my new computer arriving soon, I'm thinking about what I have to do to start playing on Avlis with it asap.
I figure I'll have to make sure that I take every hak necessary from my old computer to my new one. (I bought a USB memory key to help me do this...never used one before, but I think I can figure that out.)
I'll also want to move the Bioware NWN 1.65 patch over (can't just update, because then I'll get 1.66). What is the patch called so that I can find it in my NWN folder? I looked, but didn't see anything that was obviously it.
Is there anything I might be forgetting about that I would also have to transfer?
Thanks for any help.

You'll need the .tlk file as well - you may as well copy the NWN/tlk folder as well as the hak folder when you're copying stuff.

I lied.
I plugged the memory key into the usb port of my old computer. My computer wanted a driver for it, though, and couldn't find one (my new computer didn't come with any disc with a driver for the memory key).
So...how the heck do I use this thing so that I can transfer all the haks and whatnot to my new computer?

i just had to do all that .... you can just upgrade NWN as normal to 1.66, then you can patch it back with the file found here
http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patch_revert_hotu.html
..but don't forget to put the file in the folder still zipped
then its just a case of downloading the haks again and the CEP

I'm trying to avoid downloading them again (because that would take days, since I don't have highspeed internet access yet) by copying them to the memory key I just bought and then transfering them to my new computer. What I can't figure out is how to copy them to the memory key from the old computer.

for any drivers that you can get. I have to use drivers for my webcam that i can only get from creative's websight for using my old cam that was mad for everything but windows xp. So i guess its possible it might work the other way arround. Do you have a usb connection or usb pc card for the old computer. Id make sure its in the same usb spec (1.1 or 2.0) that your device uses.

Windows 98 needs drivers for USB Keys, Windows XP does not. I have no way of knowing whether this will work:
http://www.memorykeytools.com/win98.asp
but if not, I just found it by doing a search at Google for "Dell USB key windows 98 drivers".
Good luck!

I spent an hour or so trying different drivers, including that one. Alima was helping out, too. No luck. I've given up and I'm going to buy some CD's today and transfer stuff that way.

Well...I think I've got all the haks and tlks, and I'm running v.1.65...but I don't remember my player password. On my old computer it was remembered for me. It's probably been 5 years since I typed it in...how do I find out what it is?
If I can't find it, can I just create a new account, or will I not be able to access my characters if I do that?
What do I do? Help, please!

If you still have your old computer, open up "nwnplayer.ini" and do a search for "password=" and it should have it there somewhere (third thing with "password=" in it in my file).
