*holds his moniter up to the sky and shakes in a rage* HELP!

Alright, so, I moved to Seattle successfully, and I set up my computer on my new shiny huge desk, and all I get is the moniter saying its in powersave mode. Its a 17" dell flat panel LCD.
Has anyone ever had this problem before, and if so how the heck have you gotten around it?
Prompt replies might stop my brain chemicals from reaching boiling points.
Thanks

Woops, meant to post this is random discussions... but I guess this applies to NWN as my moniter is keeping me from playing... move it if you must.

Generally your monitor goes into powersave mode when there is no feed coming from the computer. One of three things is happening.
1) Broken connector - need to buy a new one
2) broken vid card - need to buy a new one
3) loose vid card - check and see if the vid card is fully seated in the slot, make sure that the monitor is hooked up properly, and hope that it is just a cord problem.

also happens if you try to display an unsupported resolution, if it only happens when you play nwn open up nwn.ini and chang the hsize and vsize options

Thanks guys. I was just being stupid and realized I was plugging the moniter into the integrated video card and not my secondary. *facepalms* I did that when I first got the computer too. Oh well, at least I know I wont do it a third time, I think I have learned my lesson.

Do it the easy way : use some colour-markers to show what goes where

Oh, don't be so sure. I never cease to be amazed at what I continue to do even though I "know better."
