About the clerical domain trickery.

Hi.
I've chosen the clerical domain trickery among one one of the domains for my character. But in tha basic rules it states that improved invisiblity should be available as a 4th lvl spell.

Has this been removed on avlis to that domain? Or is it a bug?

Thanks.

Well of course I know its not lvl 4 as character lvl ;) Its spelllvl 4 (thought that was clear enough in the above but okay)

You misunderstand me

You need WIS 14 to cast lvl 4 spells. WIS 15 to cast lvl 5 spells, etc

And this is BASE WIS, as in without any WIS enhancing items.

Edit : Thanks Talwin but this is ask the team

as far as i know you shouldnt be able to cast a spell that you dont have the required number of cleric levels to be able to cast, even with an item that gives you the spell slots.

Either way this sounds like a bug. Please log it using the bug tracker

bugs/bug.php?op=add

post in there.

please include number of cleric levels, Base WIS before items, as well as what spells you can see for the 4th level spells.

Also which server you noticed this on, and anything else you consider relevant

That is a bioware mess up...
Tricks Clerics get Improved invis as a level 5 spell, not a level 4.

Moved, since this question is about NWN rather than Avlis and doesn't really belong to Ask the Team.

For the record, Glofindel is right and Improved Invisibility is a level 5 spell for clerics with the trickery domain. The manual is (once more) wrong.

And whoever thought that giving Alphonse a team job would give him less time to troll the boards was dead wrong...

;)

By the way, being able to cast spells you don't have the levels for is a Bioware engine thing. Nothing we can do about it.

Hmmm, my manual says that Clerics get it as a 5th level spell. They must have made some corrections along the way. :)
