Hey, anyone know if their forums are down? I try to connect to start reading background and cannot.

They're down. They are moving to a new web host.

Sorry that I don't know much more than that.

I had trouble loading them earlier today, but that location seems to work now.

The forums will soon be moving from their less-than-adequate current locale (hosting loss prompted the rapid move) to a dedicated hosting facility within the next couple of weeks.

Of note: The server will also be changing locations (and IP) on Friday 03/04/05 @1200hrs CST.

Is this a new Forum?

Yes, you'll need to re-register on the new forums (bleh). Don't worry, if all goes well, we won't be there for long and will set up house in nice, new, shiny, tidy forums like we were before. We'll post the new location as soon as it's finalized.

More a question of some of the actual posts than the postcount.

When the move to the new forums happens we'll be able to upload our database from the old forums to the newer ones. This should restore all the old threads (and post counts ) to where they were before.

And now the current (read: crap) forums are unaccessable for some reason. Arg!

As some have already seen, the forums are down. This time due to a hardware issue at host we use. It is being worked on.

I created a temp forum for you over at http://www.rpgn.net so you can communicate until you get your issues resolved.

It's there if you need it.

Thats what you get for hosting in Oz Rein.

It's not in Australia.

The server is hosted by a colo here in the U.S.

It's only the owner of the server that's an Aussie. ;P
