Faerie Fire

Could someone look into this first-level druid spell and tell me if it's bugged?

Having recently enlisted in the military, I was fighting some Nanshi inside one of the HQs (OK, "fighting" is a euphemism for trying to stay out of trouble and avoid dying). I cast Faerie Fire on one of the Nanshi soldiers and suddenly a group of M'Cheks (only the Sergeants, I think, but I can't remember) turned Hostile and started attacking me.

I can't find any information about this spell in terms of duration, AoE, range, anything. So I don't know if the problem is with the spell or with my faction setting.

Thanks a lot.

I haven't had much time to test it out but I use it enough to randomly cast it.. and it seems, when you cast it, it has a very small, but still existant range, since I remember casting it on one PC, I had 2 affected with it. As for them turning hostile, because the spell lowers the AC, it seems to set NPCs to hostile if you cast it on them (had to learn the hard way today)

My bet is while you casted it on a Nanshi, an M'Chekian was fighting him and the spell affected both.. and while the M'Chekian went hostile to you, his buddies joined and.. you ended up where you were.

But, I'm no team member, just someone who likes to abuse that spell, so I might be wrong. :)

This is one of two spells that were added a long time ago for other CoPaP worlds to have racial abilities. We are in the process of revamping this spell and making it much cooler.

Thats great! thanks for that.

I have just been testing it as it stands a bit too. I found when I cast it at close range it affected me aswell as the target! Confirm the other observations. It says on the 'examine' spell description that it does no harm, but definatley will turn npc's hostile, didnt know it lowered ac.
