Stacking DR Buffs

Hi, I just noticed, when I cast Ghostly Visage and Stoneskin, the Ghostly Visage doesn't seem to function until Stoneskin wears off. I thought that, if Stoneskin and Ghostly Visage were cast, then the first 5 damage would be absorbed by Ghostly Visage, and the next 10 into Stoneskin, but this isn't the case, and I'm pretty sure my opponents aren't using +1 Weapons.
Any help on this would be appreciated

IIRC you can't stack damage reduction.
What you can do is stack damage reduction with damage resistance.
In practical terms, what that means to me is that when I play as Kered I can stack the 5 damage reduction from ghostly visage with the 5 bludgeoning damage resistance from Lesser Boots of the Gargoyle.

Damage resistance comes before damage reduction.
Damage reduction doesn't overlap with itself, instead comsuming the 'limited capacity' spells as it is done and having the other effect kick in once the consumable spell collapses. So Stoneskin is used up before Ghostly Touch, Shadow Shield or your Adventurer Robe comes into play.

Try this link to refine searches with the search engine.

The info you're looking for is toward the bottom of the pages.
But without doing a search myself, and to answer your question, Resitance and Reduction are two seperat things in NWN. They do not stack on their own (ie Resistance with Resistance, or Reduction with Reduction), but they do stack together, with Reistance taking the damage first.
*grins* And ignore the DO A SEARCH! screams. They forget not everyone can figgure out that search engine, and
have seen so many of these post come up again and again and again, that it ruffles them a bit.

On a totally unrelated aside, your avatar is too wide, Kyprioth. Avlis forums support avatars up to 80x80 pixels.
