I just recently made a goblin rogue character. He had 18 dex, when I made him into a goblin, his dex went to 16 and it raised his str 1 and -1 charsima. I though it was suppose to also take -1 str not plus it, and why did it take 2 off my dex? Thanks for any help

I take it you started him as a halfling? (As you probably know) The halfling ability modfiers are +2 dex -2 str, those got removed when he was turned into a goblin. The +2 dex got removed meaning you only have 16 dex. The -2 str got removed too, and was replaced with a -1. Making it look like you get +1. The -1 charisma is something all goblins get afaik.

And Yes I used halfing. I had 14 base str though, haflings get a -2 which is taken away and goblins get a -1 str. How did I end up with 15 str? Or do goblins get +1 str

All the ability modifiers are based on human stats, i.e. no modifiers. When you create a halfling, he gets -2 strength, and +2 dex. When you make him into a goblin, those modifiers are removed, so you get +2 strength and -2 dex. Then, the goblin modifiers are added, so you get -1 str, and -1 cha.
