Here's a question I'd like to put to the community.

I have a character who until this moment has only used Cursesong to reflect the fact that his 'music' is based upon his devotion to the Harpinger and Maleki, the notes themselves being inspired by torture, slaughter and the teachings of Maleki.

Would it be feasible to use first the cursesong and then the normal bardsong if he is in a party of 'likeminded' individuals to reflect the fact that while his music may harm others through the content those of a similar mindset would find it uplifting?

Not something I've tried up until now as I didn't feel that a normal bardsong was fitting for the character but it's all subjective.

I think that perfectly describes what happened when me and my high-school buddies went around the halls headbanging to uplifting music by Anthrax-- everyone else seemed to regard us as some kind of curse.

Just be sure to RP the damaging effects of that music on your brain.

Most who've met the character would say I am...

I plan to take Curse Song as my next feat and use both songs at once.

I just see it as a song that is designed to remind your friends about how good they did at X, whilst reminding the enemies of a circumstance in which they did badly at X. For example, 4 humans fight 20 Orcs, a song about a group of 4 humans versus a bunch of 20 Orcs from history, where the humans pulled off a surprise victory and slaughtred the Orcs.

You can use both songs simultaneously if you want. No problem.

In PnP 3.5 a bard can use multiple bard song abilities at once according to his instrument and his perform ability I believe. Voice counts as one, and you can do multiple others on various instruments which are listed in the song and silence source.

In other words.....Go for it!
