What happens when you reach either end of the allignment spectrum?

Do you grow horns or sprout angelic wings, do you turn into Tiras or Kaelyn?

I think we should be told.

Nada :)

(Unless it's scripted here to do so, which I doubt)

If you can make extremes in alignments, in both good or evil, law and chaos (well... or even neutrality) you get "titles.

Chaotic 0 Neutral 50 is Free Spirit, I believe, and so on and so forth.

Nice to have a title, til someone does something to screw it up when you are partied

Yeah, people in Aborea piss me off when they start shifting my alignment to good. I'm actually going to have to go on a commoner killing spree to fix my alignment.

Is it possible to fix the aborea alignment good bonus to only affect that one person as it has nothing to do with anyone else in the party, at all?

leave the party..

party alignment shifts are hard-coded into the engine.

Del has had 0 on one alignment axis most of the time and, well, he is fat but I checked and theres definitely no horns involved.

Riiiiiight, middle of big battles, people dying left right and center.... and I should leave the party. Am I the only one who thinks that sounds stupid?

i didn't say it was smart. I said it was the ONLY way to avoid a alignment penalty hit currently.

in a short time, it will be self-resolved in a sense as anyone travelling to the Afterlife will be removed from their party..

Mainly, I'd guess, the rest of us just deal with it as a fact of life on Avlis. If it really bothers you, go kill a commoner, or smush a bunny, or cross breed with a dire chicken or something.

Two ways to avoid alignment shift without leaving the party:
- Tell the player to leave the party if they die. Why do we need a system to do that? If the player is suposed to leave the party when they dye, why can't they do that? They can always join you when they finish the death quest. I usualy do that to hide metagaming information anyway (my alignment).
- You can always be a scholar of Vorin and decide to study the alimentary behave of ogres (specialy effective when studying those that likes halflings). :D (Don't forget to join the party while you take notes.)

Something more about alignment:
Couldn't the script check if you are already that alignment? An example: the chaotic shift when you steal; could it change your alignment only till it gets to chaotic and then stop? It would be nice to make those titles realy mean that the player is RPing his character well. It's too easy to become 0/0. I think it should be easy to become CE, but to be the worst kind of person on Avlis should be dificult. Remember that it is a penalty to change a lawful character alignment to chaotic, but it's a reward to do this with a chaotic character.
Why the death quest for paladins don't change their alignment too?

Thats a good question: How do you change your alignment from Chaotic to Lawful?

I mean others are obvious:
Lawful to Chaotic : Steal
Good to Evil : Kill nice NPCs
Evil to Good: Do nice quests
Chaotic to Lawful : ??????

Never seen anything around for it.

I've seen this issue come up a few times, and each time someone answer that way. Lots of help. Thanks.

En, apparently there's a way to do it out there. I don't know where. But, obviously, it's much harder than any of the other shifts.

A question like that isn't likely to be answered OOC on the boards.

However, if you asked around in game for a way to maybe, atone for your lawless past, someone might just point you in the right direction.

I've been having an aligment problem to wit:-

my rogue has ended up 100 good, 48 neutral , how do I play that I'm trying the robin hood role at the mo I only steal form the nobles district (well sometimes a wee bit from the government, as their all b?strds anyway) but finding the giving to the poor a bit of a problem

Personally, I'd say Chaotic Neutral, Neutral Evil, or possibly Chaotic Evil... rationale:

Chaotic Neutral because you're stealing... you also don't seem to care that much either way. Personally, think this is your best bet.

Neutral Evil simply because your character is still being selfish and looking out for himself... doesn't matter if he only steals from nobles, he's stealing and keeping it for himself. That's NE.

Chaotic Evil is meh... if you qualify for the other 2 Alignments, depending on how you look at it, it would make sense to cross the two and that would be your ending Alignment... Chaotic because you steal, but Evil because you're seflish and greedy... I don't really agree with that, since he's intentionally not stealing from the poor, and furthermore that logic doesn't work with alignments. (The add them together logic)

I would say NG isn't an option, simply because your character is doing nothing for the greater good... if he's stealing from the rich, but then not actually giving to the poor, where's teh greater good in that? Thus you'd be Neutral Evil, since you're doing it for your own good.

On the other side, you could say he takes the laws into his own hands, and thus steals to help people. Thus, Chaotic Good. Problem there is, again, he's not giving the money to the poor. As such, he's not being good... nor is he technically being Evil, since he's more interested in just breaking the law. hence, Chaotic Neutral.

Depending on which way you look at it and want him to RP out, those would be my two possible picks - NE or CN.
