Silly Monk Question

I never played a monk in the single-player campaigns, so I've no idea how this works:
To bypass damage reduction (say, 10/+1) while using an unarmed attack, does a monk need Ki Strike/Magic Fang, or will those gloves that have a +1 to hit bonus suffice?
Are there +x Enhancement gloves out there?

The attack bonus of gloves count for bypassing damage reduction. Ki Strike also works for bypassing damage reduction. There are gloves out there with an attack bonus, but I doubt you'll find any with an attack bonus with more than +3 (which is gained from Ki Strike already).
You can reach +5 naturally by picking the improved ki strike epic feats.

Pretty much. We've done tests with +5 Attack Rating gloves and they cut through Premonition like it was made of butter. They shouldn't, according to PnP rules, but Bioware coded it that way, I would think primarily for the bows, whose attack bonuses also let them bypass DR. (So a +3 AB bow could bypass 10/+3 DR)
They did fix the Aid/Bless bug, however, so you can't down 2 potions and suddenly boost your unarmed attacks' penetration ability by 2 levels... that's a step in the right direction, at least.

Many thanks, guys.
And I had never considered the possibility of casting 'Bless' to turn a monk (or animal companion) into a Blessed Weapon.
