I was playing on Elysia and I was at a meeting IC.. and the door was opening and closing alot.. my char went to check it out and got locked out of the room then went into visible then invisible for quite a while.. then started to dust like a fairy then was set on fire.. I thought it was pretty funny OOC but looking at my IC that could screw things up between my char and others considerably. Whoever did it I'd like to know and also know that this is been taken care of. in IC mages are already feared and stuff. all that happend in front of someone IC that doesnt like me IC very well. So, this bothers me a bit. I'm playing it out IC because I have no choice now. I want to know why it happend in the first place though. The char I was playing is Nomedo Di'Talu.

Apparently after all that happened DM Aarilax PM'ed me and told me it was just another DM playing around with some options, apparently. Aarilax said he shut him down though.

LOL - I never said that! I said it was over, not that I shut it down.

These things happen, ph0dious. My main character has been having lots of strange effects happen to him in his basement. It was one of the strangest bit of RP I've had on Avlis, and has led me into a very tough non-combat situation. Days later, I'm still trying to figure out how to proceed with the plot the DM left on my lap!
BTW, to the DM who was doing all that, any chance I could get that full metallic look permanently?

Hehehe, I love those random non-damaging spell effects.
I was forging in the 4A a while ago with an IC friend, when she spontaneously combusted, causing me to go running around like an idiot looking for some way to put her out.
Lots of fun, and we got a nice cookie for it, too. Never found out who was behind that, but thanks!

Heh, most of those were me.

Aye...you should never wear loose fitting clothes when working at a fire.
As for Nomedo, your a sorc and you said it 100% yourself in game when you noted you still do not full understand your powers. I liked that comment...be looking for some interesting time ahead helping you better understand your gifts.

*coughs* Terry is not the only DM doing those things to folks...I beginning to think there is some permanent spirit inhabiting the basement of the Gorethar hostel. At least once a week while I am crafting down there lately some odd things happen. Now I know Terry was the cause for some of it, but I know of one other DM who caused a fuss down there too.

Greetings,
For a novice Paladin, it was quite a surprise.

Yes, Arc, I must admit you and Ayren did a spectacular job of putting out the fire. Fortunately, the building did not burn down - - - indeed a happy thing. I was only singed around the edges a wee bit but quite startled.
And yes, I did learn a lesson, not to forge in loose fitting apparel. It seems I have much to learn in this fair land. One thing I have learned so far is the gods are always watching . . . .
Take care everyone. May your day be WONDERFUL and your week TOTALLY AWESOME!
Best/kind regards,
Aingeal
