Assassin Death Attack

Does anyone know if the assassin PrC Death Attack works simultaneously with a rogue's sneak attack? Or does it replace the sneak attack?
If it combines, then I imagine it works something like this:
Rogue Sneak Attack: xd6
Assassin Death Attack: yd6 + chance to paralyze
Overall: (x+y)d6 + paralyze
Can anyone confirm this, or at least straighten me out if I'm wrong? Thanks.

Everything I've read about it says that it should stack. Except the paralysation thing, which works only on first attack.

I've made test rogue/assassin/blackguards before and the three sets of sneak dice did stack

Great, thanks for the replies.
So, a rogue 5/assassin 5 should have a 6d6 sneak attack, plus a chance to paralyze on the first attack against each opponent, right?

6d6 sneak damage, yes
Paralyse on first attack: need to be clearer here... first, single attack per combat when undetected before attacking, yes. First attack each round, or first attack against each opponent within one fight, no. You must catch the enemy flatfooted to get the paralyse chance, which generally means that no enemy can be seen or heard by them at the time you attack.
