uuh...
check this out!
http://nwn.bioware.com/players/cep.html
what i really am interested in is this
Two new dynamic creatures suitable for PCs: the Wemic and the Brownie.
And the other is really neat too....
... by posting this i dont mean avlis has to use it - especially since i am sure this beast is dozens of megs in size, but maybe the avlis team finds some interesting stuff in the resource haks for future use.

We already have both those models in our hakpacks.
Really, the following races would be easy to make dynamic models for:
Orcs
Goblins
Bugbears
Hobgoblins
Centaurs
Okay, maybe "easy" isn't the right word for it (more like "time-consuming"), but there is a guide out there for how they made the wemic model, and it would be fairly easy to do the same thing for a centaur. Orcs would probably be pretty similar in body structure to half-orcs, but a bit broader - bugbears even more so. Goblins are pretty close to halflings or gnomes. Hobgoblins pretty similar to humans.
The issue is more one of time than of anything else. Is there anyone willing to put aside so much time to make dynamic character models for the community's use?

I'm currently workin on making the other special races of avlis Dynamic. It just wasnt as easy as i though it would be.
There is a dynamic Kobold on the vault now too.

The dynamic kobold uses mostly halfling body parts... making for a really screwed up looking kobold in the end. I've played with it, and it only looks right when the kobold is wearing a full robe or something of the sort. And yes, I've set the colors like the hak author said. Its not the color that bothers me.

I've played with that model too on my own. Only looks like a kobold when they're wearing full armor.
One model I DID like though was a dynamic minotaur model I saw. Looked really quite good.

I do like the other stuff in this....Just look through the pdf

What I like most is Bioware took the best of the best that was out there and put work into fixing problems with them and cleaning things up to make a good collection. And all that is required on the user end is having the cep pack installed, no haks or anything. I like it.

Um... So when can I get to play a Brownie?
Who do I have to pay off, who do I have to sleep with, etc...

Remember that any player race models, and weapon, shield, armor, or item models, MUST be in the CoPaP and universal haks.
If a world adds any of the above to JUST their world, the moment a player with any of the above portals to another world, theres problems.
With that said, using the CEP isn't necessarily a good idea for those of you who might start crying out for the items in it. Remember that the CEP is built mostly of content thats available seperately on the NWVault (with a few new things added in). Also remember that some people here still play on modems. Adding hundreds of new weapons could bloat the haks to a size thats unmanageable.
And yes, Lafferty, I know you weren't asking for it to be used. But I bet someone will.

BioWare didn't do this. The Community Expansion Pack team did.
