I really can't resist the lure of the underdark any longer.. So I'm thinking: is it possible to have two installs of nwn on the same computer. One for hordes, the other for Avlis? Or am I doomed to install-uninstall-reinstall-etc

hmm.... i could be wrong but it should be no problem to install NWN+SOU+HOTU to a new directory.

I did it for SoU, but had to install XP on a seperate HD. Has something to do with the registries or something.

It has tons to do with the registry, if you're comfy with regedit you can roll through with the find function and pretty much nuke anything with nwn in it without much worry. NWN keeps (pretty much) all of its configuration information in files in the install directory anyway with the stuff in the registry being pointers for the autorun executable when you pop the CD in. If it doesn't find that, then it'll assume the game isn't installed and voila... you can install again.

If you render your computer unusable by doing this, by the way, don't blame me... I said if.

Actually if you want to do this the easy way.....

copy the directory \NWN to \NWN2 (or whatever)

You will ahve to create a new shortcut for the second copy and you wil lnot be abel to upgrade the copy to the new expansion, but you can patch it. To upgrade it just upgrade you rnormal instal, delete copy and repeat the earlier copy process.

It's what i do, works for me!

Stranng's method works, I've done it also.
