Maybe someone can help me on this; Got me a new mouse today, plugged it, in installed the drivers and it works pretty good except that in NWN the freaking wheel doesnt work. That might not sound like a big problem but damnit it drives me insane not being able to use it. I have no clue why it doesnt work as everywhere else it does.

Under the Options / Controls, there is a setting for Mouse Wheel Sensitivity. Check that's not set to zero, or is actually available at all.

you might have to change the scroll wheel characteristics....
On my mouse setup, I have the scroll wheel assigned the "Universal Scroll" option.
Don't know if it makes a difference or not though.

try uninstalling the drivers and use the default windows drivers. You don't need custom mouse drivers anyway...
You can do it by going to control panel -> system -> hardware -> device manager -> delete the mouse driver and click update or reboot or something like that. Just install windows default drivers. Often those third party drivers hook the mouse events and do some custom things and such which might be incompatible with other applications such as for instance nwn...

Isn't it amusing how one little un-checked box can cause so much trouble?

What? You're not laughing?

You expected the mouse to work in NWN, but you didn't check the 'MS Office Compatibility' box? DUH!
