The World of Avlis

Hello everyone,
I've been wrestling with a persistent issue regarding custom content in my NWN EE installation, and I'm hoping someone here can offer some guidance. I've downloaded a few hak packs and override files from the Vault, following the installation instructions meticulously (placing them in the appropriate folders within my NWN EE directory).
However, when I launch the game and attempt to load modules that utilize these custom assets, I often encounter missing textures, incorrect models, or even crashes. I've tried various troubleshooting steps, including:
* Double-checking file names and folder structures.
* Ensuring the hak packs are listed in the module properties.
* Verifying the integrity of my NWN EE installation through Steam/GOG.
* Experimenting with different load order configurations.
Despite these efforts, the problems persist. I'm starting to suspect there might be a conflict between different custom content packs or perhaps an issue with my nwn.ini configuration.
Has anyone else experienced similar issues, and if so, what solutions did you find effective? Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm eager to get these custom modules working properly and fully immerse myself in the enhanced NWN experience.

Remove the overrides and custom content.

I know, that's not the answer you were hoping for, but its not uncommon for that sort of thing to cause bugs, issues, and crashes due to conflicts with Avlis' own custom content. Things using the same line numbers in our haks or 2das will be incompatible, and there's no way to know beforehand if they'll cause problems. You use this content at your own risk. This is why our very first diagnostic question when investigating bugs and glitches is, "Are you using overrides?"

If you still want this content available to you in single player content, you can rename your override folder while playing Avlis, then name it back to override for playing single player content. For custom content in other folders, you would need to move that content elsewhere, then move it back for playing single player content.

The only safe way I know is by using the Steam Workshop, and even there I am careful to use things I know won't conflict with Avlis content: UI upgrades, spell icons, skyboxes.
