NWNEE and Uncanny Dodge II

So everyone knows
https://nwn.fandom.com/wiki/Uncanny_dodge
As of Enhanced Edition patch 1.74, uncanny dodge II grants immunity to sneak attacks from a
flanking attacker unless the attacker has at least four more combined class levels of rogue, assassin, barbarian, and shadowdancer than the defender.
Basically if you're in combat and something tries to sneak attack you, if your effective level is 4+ levels higher than the attackers effective levels, you do not get
flanked (sneak attacked).
If you're still caught
flat-footed, you will be hit with a sneak attack like normal regardless of your "effective level".
As this is a pretty impactful change of EE that has, at least to me, went previously unknown I wanted to make sure everyone knew about it. Cheers!

Small correction; it's if the attacker is 4+ levels higher than the victim.
If they have 3 more combined levels than the victim does (or less) then the victim doesn't suffer Sneak Attacks while being flanked.
A level 36 Barbarian can only suffer flanking Sneak Attacks from a level 40 Rogue/Assassin/Shadowdancer/Barbarian.
A character with 37 combined levels of these classes is effectively immune to flanking Sneak Attacks. (NPCs with a level cap over 40 may still get them in depending on their class spread of course.)
Everyone is still fairly boned out in the open and alone in an ambush. That's Flat-Footed, not Flanking. Ambushers had better make those first few hits count!

This is a bit confusing since you are contradicting your previous statement (and examples). I thought it should be:
If they (the attackers) have 4 more combined levels than the victim does, then the victim does suffer Sneak Attacks while being flanked.
Your examples sound correct, so typo?

Both statements are correct? Just different sides of the description. And yes, probably poor choices of words.
The example from the Fandom link in the OP;
As of Enhanced Edition patch 1.74, uncanny dodge II grants immunity to sneak attacks from a flanking attacker unless the attacker has at least four more combined class levels of rogue, assassin, barbarian, and shadowdancer than the defender. (blackguard levels are not counted.) For example, a level 10 rogue would have this immunity when attacked by a level 13 rogue, but not when attacked by a level 14 rogue. This immunity does not apply when the defender is flat-footed.
So I suppose
If they have 3 more combined levels than the victim does (or less) then the victim doesn't suffer Sneak Attacks while being flanked.
May have been better written as
If the attacker has 3 more combined levels than the victim has (or less) then the victim does not suffer Sneak Attacks while being flanked.
Or the slightly less confusing inverse of
If they (the attackers) have 4 more combined levels than the victim does, then the victim does suffer Sneak Attacks while being flanked.
In short it greatly favors the defender and I look forward to T'Nanshi being cleared of its bandit problem in short order.

Yeah, I guess it can be worded in whatever way you want. My dyslexic brain will never be happy.
