Has anyone cracked the Moonsea edge of the area transitions?
They were amazing, if you hit the eastern edge of the area you were in it put you in the area to the east in the spot you hit the edge of the last area your character was in or if you wanted to go North West you aimed for the NW corner of the area you were in and it put you in the in South East corner of the area that the NW corner connected to. If there were areas all around the area you were in at any spot of the edge of the area you could transition.
You did not need to search for blue transitions, I am not that tech savvy so I hope my explanation of how they worked wasn't confusing, but they are the most memorable thing about Moonsea I can remember , other than the "data base" fiasco's.
:D

CoPaP Abyss 404 had similar tricks. :D (All of the Abyss 404 content is available for reference on request, should anyone need it).

Narfell, which is an active EE server, has those transitions.

A long while back, but there was a server by the name of Mirellest that had a crafting system where you could purchase an "Enchanting Gem" that you could "donate" 1,000XP into.

You could then trade the gem to a crafter and it would expend the gem prior to using any crafter xp.

It kind of balanced out the whole people using the item often weren't the ones that paid for it.

Nice! I am going to check it out, I went to try and find it today but the master server was down and no multiplayer servers for EE were showing up.

Moonsea also had climbing gear to make moving around in the Dragonspine mountains easier, I forget what rolls it used, intelligence and strength or intelligence and dexterity or maybe strength and dexterity. But you needed to throw your grappling hook up to the area you wanted to climb to, set the hook, then climb and not fail pulling yourself up to eventually get to a certain dragon in the mountains as well as a quicker way up to a certain mountain store.
Shadow Jump, dimensional door and teleport spells and items make that useless in Avlis, unless you find yourself in a no magic or wild magic area in Deglos mountains. :)

... or several other locations across the other Avlis servers, to make no mention of null Psionic zones (though those come with a FoIG caveat).

Mystara aka Rockhome's opening event was an underpants Gnome plot, IC handled by Archfarchnad Malefricarum, I can't remember the DM's in Avlis that did the DMing side but there were a few that lent their time. The portal was in Deglos where The Ysgard portal is now, We 5 BoulderShoulders all helped gather underpants where we could, Being told that they needed to be "slightly worn" first....... "Worn" dwarf underpants still makes me shudder but also laugh..
