Windows 10 compatability

Got a new laptop a week ago and have only just managed to get NWN to patch to 1.69. Unfortunately it crashes when played. I get a runtime error, is there a tweek I can use to make it run properly?

Right click on the exe file and then select properties. Then click on the compatibility tab and then click on the "Run this program..." check box. Choose "Windows 7" from the drop down then click the OK button. This is how I have it set up. It still crashes about once every 20 or 30 startups, but I think that's due to other issues on my PC.

In a moment of clarity I remembered what I did to make it run on the old laptop... I love winXP.
Back in game already!!
