I was just asked to collect a log, so I logged out and went to the logs folder. All I found was two empty files ...

I need to do something first to enable it? Or is it bugged?

In your nwnplayer.ini file you shoud have this line:
ClientEntireChatWindowLogging=1

mine has it in the section titled:
[Game Options]

Can't find ini files either. I'm expecting to find it where i find the haks and overrides, music, logs etc. but its not there?

They should be in by default:

C: > NeverwinterNights > NWN

The files will be loose, and not in a folder under that directory, and would be a .ini file that can be opened with Notepad. If you have your window set to view by list, you can click file extension column and find them quicker. You do have them, because if you didn't, you wouldn't be able to run NWN.

Then when you locate them, make sure they have the line Badja said. If they don't then your log feature wasn't turned on, adn you don't have the logs.

In future, make sure the line is set like badja is saying to, and use an external program to capture the log. I found one that works on win7 and 64 bit PCs. GLR5000, will need to give it admin rights, and it wont start when windows does.

Just remember you will have to save the log file to a different file every time you log out (it gets overwritten).

True, but the external program I linked, will automatically do that.
