The World of Avlis

Quick Question regarding Bioware/ NWN user accounts: -

Is the user account that I log into NWN and therefore Avlis linked to an email account or is it a seperate. I would like to shut down my old email account and have changed most things over but I am worried that I hit the close email account and suddenly can't log on to Avlis anymore.

I've changed my profile for the boards already.

It's separate. I'm pretty sure when I created my gamespy acct I did something like asdf@asdf.com rather than giving my real email as I didn't assume I'd stick around this long. As long as you don't disable your gamespy account, giving up and old email account won't affect whether or not you can log in.

You can change your email easily for your Bioware account by logging in and changing your profile (it uses the same name and password you use to play). I'd suggest making sure you update your email on your forum profile here as well for many reasons. Top of the list is if the team needs to get in touch with you. We've all seen the "If the player of X sees this " posts sometimes, but it is more than that.

Change your email on the boards here as well. It may take another authentication, but that is a day at most, and you don't lose anything. I've done it a few times.
