Curious, but when patch 1.69 is released, how long until it is implemented?

I was curious since I play more than one server(meaning other than CoPaP) and want to make sure I can continue to play this one until the patch is applied.

Same answer. There are a lot of issues that will have to be looked at before it is even thought about implementing it - how will it effect pre-existing areas, for example. Custom content, especially when it is as much as we have, has to work together with the patch. For example, there is currently a toolset issue that if you have any placeables under the navigatable areas, it will cause problems and not be able to save correctly.
There is no accurate answer that can be given other than the one I gave you, regardless of reason. Sorry.

Just like Duke Nukem Forever: You get it when it's done

You can also keep two instances of the game on your HDD and just update the original to 1.69. When you want to play Avlis, and until we update to 1.69, you can boot the other non-updated 1.68 version.

Does that require a separate game? And if so would have to go on another partition?

You can install a second copy on the same partition, using the same discs and CD key, just put it in a different directory during the install. If I recall though, the program that autoruns from the disc will detect that you already have it installed and won't give you the option so you'll have to find the install file manually

You don't even need the discs to install a different version. Just copy your current game to a different folder ( I usually put it on a separate partition but you don't have to).
Then you update your original game. You can launch the second, older version with a shortcut to nwnmain, not nwnexe.

*bump* Has the 1.69 patch been implemented yet?

Not yet. The QA team of Avlis is working hard daily and significant progress is being made. There will likely be banners, fireworks, and other things of various colors to make the announcement of it.
Keep an eye out on the
Avlis News thread as that is likely where it will first be posted when it does get updated.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Nobody's rushing the team, hon. We think you guys are awesome, QA, DM's, and all! Thanks for all the hard work that you all do. I admit to being insufferably curious as to what will change, but I can wait.
