The World of Avlis

You'll probably realize from reading this that I don't play a fighter very often, nor do I experiment with every single type of class and race and things like that. Anyway, on your wonderful server (crap, that probably sounded sarcastic) my character is a fighter. So when I finally made it over the hill (advanced to lvl 2) I chose the bonus feat of exotic weapon proficiency, of course for the ability to use a katana and other cool weapons.
When I reached lvl 3 recently, I noticed that there were different bonus feats to choose from, such as a polymorph feat. I chose this feat and I am not sure whether or not this is:

1. an ability/whatever that has been disabled on this server
2. another common occurance of my blindness to the obvious (not knowing how to use it)
3. just a bug (like the tradeskill conversation text that gets switched between two PCs when they use separate tradeskill apparatus simultaneously)

It HAS been mentioned on the boards not to take this feat. Why? Its a changeling racial feat that is showing up in error. It won't ever work for you.

yep, I thought so....I'm so stupid! I always do things like that. I bet it was probably a very common, large, general, and easily noticable topic. In my case it could have been a banner wrapped around the empire state building in alternating color bright neon lights beaming profane content into the night sky and I still wouldn't have seen it....

here's another question, (I hope all the DMs won't hate me for asking one of them to do this) would it be possible/allowed/rude to ask a DM to take away enough exp. that I would go back to lvl 2, then give the exp. back so that I could pick out a different feat? or could a DM just change the feat instantly?

"So, what do I do now," you might be asking yourself?

You can either live with the mistake ( ). Give up that feat and move on. However, this might cause unforseen problems for your character down the road though.

OR

Ask a DM to de-level you and re-assign the XP for you to level up again (and of course NOT taking the polymorph feat this time). Try to PM one and set up a time, date, and server, etc... It might be easier then finding a random DM online who has enough time to do this. They are usually busy running adventures! Good luck!

And it would be easier for DMs to spot you if you post your PC name and GameSpy account name when you report problems.

You could also contact your local Church of Maleki representative. I'm sure they could help you along the path of dying enough times to level down.

And you could post this in Bug reports.

i made that mistake once .. but insteed of getting a dm to fix it i went in played in the rose fields till i died and lost enuff xp to delevel
