PADRIR: Map of the cities.

Another map from Padrir, Wandering Songsmith. Note that this is supposed to work in conjunction with my previous map, the political map which can be found here:
viewtopic.php?t=16256. The colors match the ones on that map.
Also note that I now have a website which I will update whenever new information appears or more requests are made. This website is located at: http://www.colorscape.net/avlis/maps/. Tell me what you think of both the map and the site. Also: if you know of any more cities and their names, post and let me know!

Btw, if this map turns out good, I will not only put it in the official forum, but also feature it on a mousepad that we will sell online.

Thank you, I appreciate this. Make sure you take note of my character's website. It will eventually be filled with more than just maps (songs, information about the world, special quests for a Loosley Organised Bard Guild which I am starting, etc.) I hope you enjoy this project that I am putting together

Some more city locations:
Brekon: the city of Brekon is located just outside the Seven Cities on the Brekon side of the border
Grantir: located in Drotid about 50 miles in from the coast, and directly across the map from The Seven Cities
Blandenberg: Right on top of the northern border between M'Chek and T'Nanshi, about midway along the border.
Nanshi Urbaz: Right inside the southern mountain range in Deglos, right inside where the Entrance to Deglos area is in T'Nanshi.
Tikabrancadreana: Roughly halfway down the length of Jechran and located just off center within the country of Jecrhan.
Arvanos: Start from the border between Kurathene and Brekon on the west coastline. Trace your finger north until you see the first little inlet on the coastline.

If it seems as though no changes have been made from the last time that you checked, you need to refresh your browser!!!
I added all of the above listed cities. However, I was confused by he instructions for Tikabrancadreana as they were a bit vague. If you could check all of the city locations to confirm my competancy, that would be most excellent!

You got them all correct.

The only thing that's not on there right now are three cities in Drotid, but I need to get a confirmation of where they are at.

Perhaps he should also add the port of Nireth ? It's big enough that a ship from Mikona travels there.

what the hell, how come Elysia is in the middle of the land. I thought it was rather silly since you take the boat between there and mikona..also it has big docks, can't be a river city now?

I think Rivers and lakes should be shown on the map

I will have to supply you with a map of the rivers. I have one someplace.
The border between T'Nanshi and Toran Shaarda is actually a river. The river flows south out of lake Eridanus which exists between Elysia and Ferrell. Eridanus is fed by a few smaller streams and an underground aquifier. Honestlhy the lake is a relatively new feature in the development of Avlis. It was only put there about 2 years ago. So it's not even on any of the maps that I have, but I'll tell you where to put it.

Sounds great. I'm glad that I have someone to look over my shoulder.

I agree - excellent !!
The maps on your site are really good. If we could have one that's more of a geographical one with hills, forests, rivers etc - that would be truly outstanding.
One question for the DM's - are these maps purely for OOC knowledge, or is the information on them available in say libraries etc?

I believe I can answer this question. It is all about who your character is. If your character is a bard or a wizard who knows much and reads a lot about geography (rangers, too), then your character would have access to this kind of information. Or even if your character is simply really interested in geography, you would have access to this info. If your character speaks with a cartographer often, then your character would also pick up little tidbits of information concerning the land and what it looks like. Maybe your cartographer or traveller friend gave you a map in character, if so you would have access to this information also.
Also: I will do a geographical map soon and I am also putting together maps of the cities organized by module so people will actually be able to use the maps for in-game purposes. All coming soon, so sit tight!
Finally, thank you all for your support.
puts us to shame ...

Just roleplay and have fun. That's all anyone asks for. Anything else is just fluff. Have fun on Avlis and look Padrir up in the game, he's always willing to perform for people.
Cities of Qwanderal & Qwandovia

Might want to check with Orl as to wether these should go on the map, but there are the cities of Qwanderal and Qwandovia, aquatic cities. Home of the Nixies.
I mention them, coz Qwandovia is where my main character's ancestry comes from. Here are some quotes from a PM discussion with Orleron (Orl - I hope you don't mind).
Orleron wrote:Qwanderal is the city where they come from on the east coast, underwater of course, and Qwandovia is where they come from on the west coast, also underwater.
Orleron wrote:Qwandovia is off the shores of the Kurathene Empire. It is within a week's journey of the Seven Cities by ship.
Orleron wrote:Qwandovia is not on the map but it is located just northwest of the seven cities. You can see them on the political map.

Yep... You can put Qwandovia there in the place I described.
Qwanderal is below that group of islands on the east coast. If you draw a line through the islands and then draw a line from Le'Or T'Nanshi out to the ocean, the place where they intersect is Qwanderal.
Wow, I haven't campaigned in those cities for years... memories. Actually, the last campaign went to Qwandovia in the Avlis Campaign 1 notes.

Big Lake in Ferrel = Big Lake in Elysia... Same lake, different sections, or at least that was my understanding.
Looks sweet, very impressive.

Yes, Ferrell and Elysia are on opposite sides of Lake Eridanus, which is not a very big lake.... ~7 to 10 miles across.
