Need more world info

I am just starting out on Avlis/Mythos, and although I have read the posted world info and looked at the maps, I was hoping for some more information before making my first character. I was wondering if there is a kingdom/city that follows sort of an expansionist policy. Not neccesarily evil, but would not hesitate to displace the inhabitants of an area it wanted to control if they disputed the desire. Basically what I wanted to do is have my character join the army, and maybe go up a few ranks, perhaps leading a few men (4-8 maybe?), and then find out the reasons given them from the emperor/king for fighting were lies and he decides to quit, gaining an inherent distrust of the kingdom/city and big politics.

I couldn't really fit this into any of the kingdom's I've read about so I was wondering if maybe there are some I don't know of since I haven't played yet, or if any Avlis/Mythos veterans could give me some suggestions. I would prefer to rp joining the army and all that, but if I can't fit it in I suppose I will just start the character having already quit the army. Thanks.

There is the M'Chek army, fighting for expansion possibilities. You can join that or the T'Nanshi army that defends their borders. Be sure to pick the right home base if you do so. Mikona is the capital of M'Chek and Le'Or T'Nanshi is the capital of T'Nanshi. And then there is the Neutral Citystate of Elysia of course which has nothing to do with the war what so ever.

The world as it is, is divided into those two large parts: T'Nanshi and M'Chek. And the neutral city Elysia.

If you want more war, you'll have to wait till the Kurathene Empire servers go up and that won't happen till we can buy some more hardware to host it from.
