1000 copper = 10 gold

100 cp=1 gp
10 sp = 1 gp
1 gp = 1 gp (duh)
10 gp = 1 platinum (not sure one that one)

i'm curious what people think is the problem with the experience point system...

what sucks for me is a cool weapon or something coming up for auction, me bidding 2000 gp for it (about my spending limit on anything) and then watching as people bid up to 150,000 gp. thpppt... fie on you richies....

simple. it was changed. team liked it. lots of players hated it (hence the drop off of players after it was implemented) Now mentioning it in a thread is likely to get thread locked.

My dead horse topic: item/level restrictions. They promote powergaming (got to get to a higher level to use that dm reward) and ruin immersion (got to learn to use a sword better so I can equip those boots!), yet are considered sacrosanct for some reason.

well, since it already got mentioned, what was the change? what was it before, and why did people not like the new one? feel free to pm me if its a sensitive issue, or alternatively, feel free to tell me to piss off.

I don't see how I could have a problem with the exp system when I've actually got more exp on a per-month basis since it was implemented, so I'll vote the economy. Oh and what G-E said. 8-)

I swear, if I hear one more "DnD Purist" tell me that they don't think psionics should be in the game, I think I'll scream. course, no one would hear, but oh well. didn't have my favorite, "Nerf the (insert class that pwned you in CvC" option, so I went the economy, cause it costs 1.2 million or trade only for an ioun stone. I mean seriously, people, it's a rock. A little one. It wizzes around your body. Other than that, I can almost guarantee you wouldn't miss it. It's meant for 5-10th level characters, and there are uber epics that are shelling out big bucks for these things.

J,

Since you don't know what you really want, there's no point in asking. Others know what you really want. Not you. Once I thought I knew what I really wanted but then I was informed that this was not what I really wanted at all. What I really wanted was what someone else told me I wanted. This was helpful. Having someone there to tell you what you really want is key.

Hope this helps.

Since most people here voted for the XP-System, I think its time to abuse
this thread to re-discuss it, since no one seems to have more experience
in the XP system, than the people voting for it as a dead horse.
The result would surely be to most advanced XP system evah !

XP system (being high level around lower levels sucks) and economy are also up there, with CoPaP and crafting as factors in the economy one. Did I miss any? :)
