Y'all turned me on to Firefox and I haven't looked back. I can block all annoying pics and that makes me happy.

I haven't noticed anything different from my old IE in terms of speed or functionality.

IE 6 will have the tabs like Firefox does, but they both display certains HTML features differantlly, IE doesn't really like frames and Firefox doesn't like things like lists.

But i think Firefox is a better interface and a nice change, so its what i use now

A toss up between elinks and lynx.... but in a GUI I use firefox. Except for at work, where if it isn't Microsoft, they don't know it exists.

HEHE.

I love the many Firefox extensions. Especially the IE tab which is handy for those sites that prefer IE when you'd prefer it didn't exist and ForecastFox. I have to check out the FoxyTunes extension too...looks cool.

After hearing claims that there are better browsers than IE (especially a lot of them about Firefox) I have tried all of the above . Then I went back to IE again as it proved to be faster and more reliable for me.

I use firefox, as it's just great! :)

Also.. I cannot stand using IE, too frustrating when I always try use mouse gestures on it...

KaiRal Windspar wrote:I have to throw my lot in with IE. Sure, it lacks in functionality , but it gets teh job done, and lacking all that functionality seems to make it faster, in my experience.

I have been using Firefox for about a month now, and even afetr I dialed back on all the REALLY COOL PLUGINS!!!!1!! OMG!!eleven!! It's still pokey. :?

I don't need glitz and glamor, I need to read the page I am brousing to in a timely manner. Especially when it's my bus schedule.

Ah.. I found firefox rather slow too, all you need is the "faster fox" plugin. Solves all the problems. ;)

IE is about as secure as an open door, so firefox for me. I read they (the evilest company ever  ) will actually have security in IE 7, so maybe they are listening to people after 10 years of complaining?

IE 7 Beta 2

I love it, it's already a part of windows, and best of all, support is free. Not that I like Microsoft at all, but I bought the product years ago ( XP Pro ) and all the updates, Exploits and Security issues are fixed for free.

Again, I'm not Pro-Billy Gates. I'm also not out to "be different" or prove a point. It's a good product, I use it. That simple.
