Sounds dumb, but really not. I'm just wondering if the number of people who respond to polls roughly corresponds to the number of individuals who use the boards regularly.

Once you vote no... you are voting yes :P

For the record, yeah I do. I like polls. Even the ones about things not having to do with cake, or lesbian pixies, or lesbian pixies jumping out of a cake, or licking cake frosting off of lesbian pixies or...

cake.

Orl - if the purpose of this (which it seems to be from your other post) is to find out how many people use the boards regularly, PM me with what exactly your're trying to find out and I'll see if I can write a database query that will give you your answers.

generally speak my mind in the thread, not answer the poll. The options are usualy limited and my answer does not fit. Or the question has a bit of biasness which leaves me out of the answering pool they seek.

For instance, picking yes or no here is good.

If the question was. What kind of magic does your character use? With Arcane, divine, UMD as the options that sort of leaves the melee characters out. Melee characters that answer only skew the results, thus invalidateing the poll.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

I do this a lot too. Either for the same reasons or because I just don't feel like voting.

So, I guess it's safe to assume you voted for neither option in this poll?

I voted yes.

Wouldn't it work just as well to see how many votes a random smattering of polls received? That's how many people vote regularly in the polls. Question answered.

If you're expecting to find out how many people look at the boards but don't vote in polls, by having them vote in your poll... well, you're certainly not going to get everyone.

Sometimes, voted no. Only if it's something that I really care about, or I'm just in that mood.

Depends on the topic. Usually the more random polls I'll vote in along with character driving type polls, but polls up items my characters have I tend to ignore.

I often vote, only if the options are really too far off my idea of an asnwer I won't. But I'd say.. I vote on 90% of the polls that have anything to do with something I can vote on (ie I don't vote on rogue stuff).

I voted yes. I do the poll thing whenever the poll isnt about something stupid. If it's worthwhile, and not just spam, I will respond to a poll.
