19 Months and a crap-load of hours. Zach is the only PC that I've ever played past 1st level and he is now 27th.

Baal was born the week Custom races hit Avlis... April 2003.

Not my oldest, but the one I play.

That is my opinion, not nessasarily anyone else's opinon, might just be, but that would be a coincodence, and damnit, sometimes the crap I write is not even my opinion either.

Remember when 20th level was like awesome .... like an unachieveable golden dream!?

Now I see characters in the 25 - 35 range I've never even heard of.

Pesky kids .... I remember when Mikona was all fields !

Damn I miss that newbie feeling... :)

Waves to Mistcaller

Mel just became 21 after the last DM event (Deider is responsible for at least 3 level ups :D ).

Got a couple of others that are luck to get more than an hour a week...

Seems like many that I played with have either moved on or moved up...

*looks at Olaf, Aloro, Lasher and of course Jordicus* :P

Eight months of Jack Barton....though there was a name change in there sometime in July. Just hit 14th level. And the same CD has been in my computer since early March. Honest.

No, seriously.

18 or 19 months of Gunsel. Currently mid 17th level. Just shy of a level per month. I must be a powergamer or something. I'd be going on the same amount of time with the cd in but my darn kids keep taking it out to play Barbie crap.

This poll is a little disturbing in a few ways.

I know there are still people comign into avlis, i see them all the time. Yet on the poll very few have been playing less than 3 months, does this mean that the new characters i am seeing are all alts, or that newer players don't read the boards or read but don't respond?

I joined when Elysia was just added.
Daria has been my main ever since and hit 21st lvl somewhere around may this year and is still sitting there.

That means one level per month.

My alt has three levels. Very rarely played but I wont let him die.

Here's what I don't get... you HAVE to come to this site to fill out an application. How do you not notice then that there are these wonderful things called the Avlis forums that will gladly suck up all your time when you are not able to play. Personally, I read through a LOT on the forums before I ever stepped foot IG. I also didn't make a single post until I'd been playing almost a month...

I'm working on it! *points to Doug's whip marks on her back*

It's more of a guide to what's different and the amjor what NOT's to do than anything else.

Should be done shortly. RL being a #%@#$ right now and getting in the way. I use Avlis to relax, so my time with Avlis has been more playing than working on the guide.

Your telling me... i spent a month and a half reading the non-member forums and eventually the member forums before stepping in game.... partly because i spent the month and a half before the bioware article trying to dload all those haks and things on one hell of an unholy instable 56k line. I had to dload the cep 6 times because the file kept corrupting due to improper resumes...

My oldest char is 5 months ish... a fighter/mage drangonari at lvl 4 but suffering from 90-day-non-use-syndrome. My main char is 4.5 months ish a changeling sorc *looks at the lvling times above and feels guilty* lvl 18... thanks to LOT of recent group activities, as well as a fair amount of solo treasure hunting, and some rather hefty cookies the last 6 lvls have shot up.

My char is coming up for her one month anniversary, so I fall squarely into the enthusiastic newbie category. And I admit to having voted in this (and other polls) without actually posting a message about it, 'cos I figure, 'hey, who wants to hear about a newbie char'? I am constantly reading most of the new messages on the forums and many of the older messages from the popular threads, but I've only posted twice (er ... now three times). So - I guess newbies are lurkers.

In case you are interested in newbie chars, Ixia is 3rd level and heading for 4th ... she has tagged along with quite a variety of very much higher level chars, all of whom have gifted her with heaps of gear and knowledge. I'd say about half of her XP is crafting and half fighting, and a tiny bit of DM cookies which was the best bit of all. I figure the first few levels are going to be the quickest to acquire, the XP being so small to get between them, so I don't feel too guilty. Plus I don't feel quite so useless when I attempt to assist the inevitably higher level chars. :)
