Most gold spent on a single item in Avlis? Let's leave residences, property and services off this list. If you can't carry it, don't take it into account. We aren't taking trades into account either since there's no way to put a value on a trade. If you want to list a trade, have at it. K = 1000 gold.

Put me in the 1-5k category. There's very little that I've seen for sale for less than 100k that was worth buying, and 100k+ is pretty much out of my price range.

LOL, jobs aren't terribly fun, are they? If they were, there would be more computer games based upon real life jobs.

Im only in the 35-75k range..sheesh...my mithral armor cost me a fortune

and 16% in the millions of gold..Wow I could not even imagine that much gold. I think the most on character has been around 60k.

As for item.. the most I've ever spent on a single item was 20k. My hoard does not really allow for anything bigger then that.

i thought i was being extravagant spending around 1.5k on my armour.

Everything I've ever wanted to buy has always been way outside all my character's price range. So all I've bought is from NPC merchants, or if we're talking bulk items then I've probably spent several 10s of thousands on potions & heal-kits from PCs before.

The top priced item I ever bought was a +5 ring of protection for 500.000 gold, and someone was able bid for a red dragon armor. The 2nd highest item i ever bought was an Aslyferund Elvenchain for 450.000 gold from the 1%ers.

My main character bought a sickle from Deek for 7k IIRC. That's the most I've ever spent. (and now that I think about it, he still owes Deek 5k. Good thing my main's in Mystara, so Deek's legbreakers can't find me

)

As a DM, I think the most I've ever sold an item for at a trade fair auction was 700k, but my memory could be failing me here. And that's not counting the one Ayren had to give back
