Best HotU creature:

PostAuthor: Manuel the White » Sun Mar 14, 2004 5:12 pm

Obviously not all of these will make it into Avlis (especially where dragons are concerned). With HotU about to go live on our servers, what is the best new creature?

Hot Gelatinous Cube action baby, can't wait to have one of these chasing some screaming Noob down a sewer

I manage to die just fine without these.

Which scares me the most?
Well, dragons or golems...take a pick.

The Beholder in HotU fails.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that someone, at some point, said to themselves, "y'know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to do it."

Spider demons all the way. In my opinion, these are the most versatile of the new creatures.

Dragons! Especially of the Shadow Variety.

Cubes are really scary though. Being engulfed is... unpleasant.

I went with Spider Demon just because the model looks so damn cool. I can see that one being used frequently in Avlis. I was checking the other monsters out in this list. OMG, the Slaad and Adamantine Golem are just brutal!

How can a Slaad be so damn tough? All of their stats are pumped up. Yet, they look like something disney would make. You be the judge:

Give me the Jello. Always a classic monster from the past. My question is when are they going to introduce the wicked green slime. Oh No!!!, there goes me armour, Damnation!!!

In all seriousness, Stitch was en epic monster, maybe CR 40 (I'd have to watch it again to make a better estimation). That little fucker was incredible. He could dodge lasers (Dex 60?), lift a car over his head (considering he was size Tiny, that's Str 50+), and chew through steel (Bite for 4d12?).

He was pretty clever too. * shudders * Do not underestimate Disney characters.

Damm they are so boring. Give us something interesting to fight, like the demon spider, with thier unequip armour ability, on a failed discipline check.
